The Broken Chords - Poem by Marko Mohac

The sound of a peaceful flower scent
Spread like vocals of an ocean’s roaring sign
Stolen and in scattered fire calling
To reach and flow across my riant mind
Together we spent time glowing as we grew
Into a yellow white clash

Up and down, they advance as they please
And leave me ripping all the burnished memories
That flash like explosions in my heart
Are we united in this path of burning light
No mind I already see myself falling behind you
To sing to our crash

Claps our souls make are stored this sleepless night
One by one they create another surmise
In the days that are to come and rise
In the whispers that escape from a vibrating tie
The higher we reached the stronger the sky shot
Our gazing sights astray

What are we but shrunken to little black dots
In the radiant shade of the endless red giant
As we fall in a slow lullaby for his rest
And hear the voices of our life song slipping
From the eyes hidden deep in the rhythm
Our sun going away

The record stuck in a broken bell is showing
That time wishes to part the lonesome music in array
Hold my hand I no longer am afraid
I will tell you the sounds of my long lost name
The silence dwells only in our cold words
But from the song we are not afar

Light line is our way and our forgotten pride
We are in love with that secret dark stage
I must catch you to begin again
And only when we follow the shared dream we chase
My heart jumps complete in this melody
I can finally see who we are

Never afraid to be too far
The broken chords on the trail of the lost yellow star
