The Butterfly's Song Poem by Crystal Hayes

The Butterfly's Song

The lonesome butterfly silently sings her tragic tune
The song speaks a tale of the suffering she has endured.
The melody enters the ears of few who allow it to consume.
Of the tedious journey that has helped her mature.
The circle of life continues its cycle without fail.
Many obstacles are still to come
Will she overcome then to let her frail wings sail?
What will become of her after all is said and done?
Still the butterfly continues to tell her tale.
For Her true life's lessons has just begun.
