The Button Poem by Violet Allen

The Button

I go a size up because I've gotten a little bigger
They are perfect
They have a slight flare at the bottom, and have a straight fit
They have perfectly placed rips right at my knees
They hug my thighs just right
But when I go to button them, they have a flaw
The top button won't button
I struggle and tug but it wont budge
I buy them anyway
I can't stand to be bigger
