The Call Of Love Poem by Helen Crutchett

The Call Of Love

I'm just a slave, enchanted
With the call of love from the beloved.
I pray for mercy and shelter from the desert
of my lost soul,
Seeking compassion and Divine light
I wonder at the ebbing and flowing
Of the ocean never giving up secrets of the deep.

Forgiveness is the wealth of a treasure
Peacefulness is the purification of the heart
Angels sing notes of tenderness
In the highest heavens.
In this weak human condition, I, ever reaching
Towards my Creator, sustainer of all life,
My beginning, my end, my eternity.
