The Campus Of Becoming - A Poem By Awoniyi Oluwafemi"

Rating: 1.0

The campus wakes like a breathing mind,
Walls rising with silent, ancient thoughts,
Paths stretch like questions without answers,

Feet wander where purpose is still unborn,
And dreams hang lightly in the morning air.
Hostels glow with restless midnight lives,
Where laughter flickers like fragile flames,
And whispers travel through shadowed halls,

Carrying choices soft as unseen winds,
Each heart pulled by a different call.
Freedom runs like an untamed river,
Bright with promise, deep with risk,
Some are lost in its shining surface,
While others dive beneath its calm,
To gather truth from hidden depths.

Lecture rooms become arenas of thought,
Where silence sharpens every word,
Pens rise and fall like quiet rain,
And minds wrestle with unseen weights,
Seeking light through clouds of doubt.

The library stands, a patient guardian,
Holding time between fragile pages,
Its silence speaks in steady echoes:
"Stay, endure, become, arise, "
As knowledge blooms in quiet struggle.

Effort grows in the soil of persistence,
Watered by sleepless, stubborn nights,
Failure bends but does not break,
For strength is forged in hidden fires,
And hope survives where courage stays.

At last, the journey crowns the soul,
Not in ink alone, but living truth,
The graduate rises, calm and sure,
A flame refined, a purpose shaped,
A master of the self once sought.
