The Candle Poem by Jackie Frost

The Candle

The candle in solitude glows,
Shining in the nightly shows.
Dancing fiercely in the night,
Given it is often light.
Give it one last look,
There it's shining on the crook,
Never fading,
Never wavering.
It alone makes light the dark,
In the cold world winter stark.
If you look again at it,
Even just for a little bit,
You'll see it still there,
Warming the air.
Will you let the candle burn alone,
Or is your heart made of stone?
