The Cave Poem by Alvin Miller

The Cave

In the cave
Of all my feelings
Where this deepest thoughts can dwell
Are the beginnings of my healings
And the depths of living hell

Whatever path I choose
Will come from that deep source
And whether I win or lose
I have solely chosen the course

Who knows what's in that brew
That mix of happy and sad
I haven't the slightest clue
And it could be good or bad

There comes a time for action
A time to move and do
Whatever the satisfaction
It comes from the primal brew
