The Cemetery Squatter Poem by Edgardo Tugade

The Cemetery Squatter

Come live with me in Manila
In a house of stone and pillars.
We'll have for neighbors Presidents,
Movie stars and big businessmen.

You'll love the ride in the limousine
Serenaded by thoughtful singing.
I'll fill your room with flowers.
I'll serve you candlelight dinners.
