The Change Poem by Tonmoy Datta Mishu

The Change

The sky being black,
Tiny drops dropping to land,
In a whole, what a scene!

I remembered the day,
When I was a child,
Dancing with rain, with the fellow mates.
For two hours, continuously;
The sun was just like vanished.
As a child I was mesmerised.
Thinking someone sitting above the sky,
Throwing water on us!

Being a child, I had the curiosity to know,
Who was the man from future,
Pulling time so fast!
That man doesn't even take any rest.
I wondered how hard he works!

Again when I walked in the streets at night,
How could that moon follow me every time,
Everywhere I go!

I wanted to know everything,
One day I asked my Miss,
She said, 'How silly you are! Sit Down.
Don't you know the nature'

I didn't know what's nature,
And I didn't have courage to ask her!
Everytime I tried to fly,
My wings had been cut down; every time!

Now I am old enough,
Know almost everything.
I had many choices, but
I choose to write,
To share that feelings,
That were hurting me inside!
