A day dreamer she was,
Happily content with herself.
A world she made within her mind.

Cloudy and sunny skies,
Warmth and happiness within.
Smiles and laughter all around,
An escape from reality.

Until it was time...
She sees the world for what it is,
A harsh reality unveiled.

The gleaming young eyes,
she once had,
Become lifeless and dull.

A heart so full of love,
Becomes a sorrowful abyss.
Crying alone each night,
Embraced by the coldness,
She seeks the light.
