The Classic Love Poem by Gavin Nelson

The Classic Love

I like the way you eat your food,
Other people would say its rude.
I like the way you watch t.v,
Maybe for once you could look at me

I walked the earth be fore my discovery,
Then I found you, all nice and lovely.
We spent some time looking up at the stars.
We spent some time in the back seats of cars.

Remember the time you asked for my hand?
Around about the time we went to the lake.
The happiest night of my life that was then,
Until I found out that the diamond was fake!

My mother once asked you what do see,
In my beautiful daughter? (who was having a pee)
I got down beside her, and whispered in her good ear,
That I’ve never been in love with such a good cup of tea.

After all these years I can look back and think,
That maybe I’ve found the right man.
Now give me the remote and go play with your boat,
don’t come back till you’ve emptied the pan!
