The Coming Of The Parsees Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Coming Of The Parsees

I think
About
The coming of the Parsees
In India
From Pars, Persia
Seeking asylum,
Fleeing as for persecution
Of their faith
And they turning to Gujarat,
Jadi Rana's Sanjan, Valsad,
The king offering a pot full of milk
And they pouring in sugar to add to
And as a result of that harmonious foundation,
The Fire Temples and the Towers of Silence
One may mark them
Coming up
With the populace as the worshippers of
Ahuramazda
With the Sanjan Stambha
Telling
The story of
Their coming, arrival
In India's
Gujarat.
