The Companionship Of Nature - Poem by Luke Mummert
Peacefulness can mean many things,
Like the shining of the moon
On a cool, brisk, and silent night.
With nothing left to see or hear,
But a brightness within the dark
And the thoughts on your mind.
Nobody is around to talk to
And you can only whisper to the trees,
But through breathing in nature
You find yourself refreshed.
Sitting all alone on fresh grass
Taking in the scent of freedom
You finally start to realize
What a special time this really is
Never knowing it before,
What satisfaction there can be
In being truly comforted
By the only natural surroundings
Put before us by God.
