Love,
An art of expression
A feeling, sometimes an obsession
Kindness, more than an ounce of dedication
Yet in it's path lies sorrows and depression
Waiting for the loss of a loved one
Heart heavy and glim
When a love, once
You can love someone for a minute, an hour, a day, a week, a month, a year
But grief can rip them away from you in a second
Grief ridicules my love
It's quick on it's feet to make decades of love feel unwarranted,
feel like a distant memory
and feel like a waste of time.
Love,
an art of expression,
a feeling, sometimes an obsession,
kindness, more than an ounce of dedication.
It offers no room for exploitation,
no season of condemnation,
no claws of rejection
moments of celebration
Yet on it's path lies grief
forever breathing,
ready to snuff away the memories we have made,
with final 'goodbyes'
and empty pleas of 'remember me'
All it takes is a second
to create that hollow in precious memories.
It sinks so deep,
without a clue on how to heal.
