The Constant Star (Sonnet) Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

The Constant Star (Sonnet)

Rating: 5.0

Your radiant light goes deep within the soul,
Two distant hearts now find a common beat.
My spirit longs for you to make me whole,
Through lonely hours and this bitter heat.

Deep in your love, a thousand times I drown,
I give my heart to cherish only you.
Without your light, the sun is cast way down,
Your gentle smile is all I wish to view.

Across the lines, this music starts to flow,
As two distinct lives merge to breathe as one.
In love's new world, let us begin to grow,
Where rainbows shine when stormy days are done.

Within your passion, I am swept away,
The steady star that leads me through the day.
