The Cost Of Freedom Poem by Thomas Bevers

The Cost Of Freedom

In the eyes of our Lies, the truth comes free.
For the ties of our lives will never break free.
For freedom is not free, and neither are we.
because the freedom we have was just to costly.
The loss of our brothers and our dear family,
We take for granted the lives we have to plea.
To throw them away is the means for us to betray,
what our predecessors left for us to not astray.
so please keep aim, don't let their sacrifices be in vain.
For the cost of freedom itself, was pain.
