The Cost Of Silence Poem by Srishty Shaleen

The Cost Of Silence

Silence someday will bleach the pain...
make the splotches of dark scarlet on my shirt sleeve dissappear..
but silence is a huge price to pay for the love of my pride,
for the security of my vulnerability,
but silence.... i think i'll take that up...
and keep them timidly tucked in my breast pocket..
close to my heart, away from prying eyes.
