THE COUNTDOWN-13
Family and office
Both are places of worship
They are different
And one without the other looks so indifferent
Both complement and supplement each other
The former prepares you for the latter
And the latter provides the former
Its much-needed bread and butter
Both give you reasons to smile
And moments to cheer
Though highly demanding
They give you space to work and live
They are not alike
Curtail your freedom, room to manoeuvre
Will and ability to act and think
They vary in texture and odour
Serve different needs
And have their limits
Family is not the same as office
It can not occupy its place
Which provides more breathing space
One may not be the same
At home and workplace
One needs both to be oneself
When one loses the latter
The former becomes colourless
Family can hardly make up for the absence
And steps into the space
Occupied by one's workplace
Too much of family
May not be in one's best interest
Before the sun sets
Better to find a candle
To light up the darkness
