THE COUNTDOWN-14
When you lose one of your wings
Your ability to fly gets curtailed
No more you remain
A free bird in the open sky
When you look outside
You find no room to manoeuvre
With your space sadly squeezing
You look inside
Only to find your feelings
And emotions in chains
All that you loved and cherished
In a golden cage
Seasons come and go
You fail to distinguish the change in colour
With nothing to look forward to
You remain in yourself
Your last voyage in the blue ocean
Hunt you time and again
Your craving to spend more and more time
With your own diminishes
The reality of life comes in front
You calculate what have you got in return
For all that you put in over the years
The saddest part of life comes alive
And you being the sole spectator
Witness the whole of it
With none with
None accompanying
