THE COUNTDOWN-28
It is the last week
And you are on the first day
No more waiting for the weekend
Each day after a couple of days
Will be a holiday
You can live it, love it
And endure it in your way
The familiar sound of the vehicle
Reaching your gate
The doggy sensing and barking at it
Your wife wishing you from the terrace
Will be memories of yesterday
The road that leads to the office
The temples alongside
The busy traffic
The madding crowd's
Rush to make the beginning
Will remain as such
It is only you who will miss all these
Now you have all the leisure
You have been looking forward to
You have your prized possession
The independence you had lost long since
Now when the moon is in hand
Why are so worried about the spots on it?
Is it because
Things do look beautiful from a distance.
Is reality as beautiful as one's dreams
Or you only see the dark side
When you come face to face with it?
