The Cross I Bear Poem by John Zeller

The Cross I Bear

This time and dimension just one of my own
A bottomless pit in an indefinable zone
This cross I bear I must drag to the sea
And allow my own dreams and desires to crucify me.
I do not fear the stones that the sinner will cast
For life's simple treasures I must continue to grasp
Though somewhere out there I know she's alone
She'll take me away to resurrect my bones.
