The Cycle - Poem by Razorblade Kiss

I suppose its destined for me to always fall hard, then soon have my heart broken.
But for once I though the cycle wouldn’t repeat.
Just the thought of him made me smile,
I started to love him and I’m not sure but he may have felt the same.
He was perfect, my heroic knight in shining armor.
Then things started to happen and I began to hurt him,
So I pushed him away breaking his heart most likely as well as my own.
It was fated that this was bound to happen,
The cycle always repeats and I was foolish to think otherwise.
Now another scar marks my wrist, its just another reminder of this life’s triumph over me
Tears fall uncontrollably as he stays in my thoughts, a constant nightmare of the one thing good that I loved and lost.
