The Dance Poem by Paige Sundquist

The Dance

Drip
Drop
Drip
Drop
Rain falls
Caressing my face
mingling with tears i dont understand
soaking every inch of my body,
the rain keeps falling,
my face is uplifted to catch every drop,
thunder cracks and lightning flashes across the sky
i stand and i sit and i dance
all through the storm
catching every dropp that i can
the thunder stops the lightning ceasing
the storm lessens
the tears come back
i weep for passion
tears im not sure i quite understand
Rain gently caresses my face

Drip
Drop
Drip
Drop
