The Dance Poem by Frances Ayers

The Dance

Your arms circle me and provide the heat
of a never ending fire that warms my heart
While soft kisses you give when we meet
Helps memories to linger when we are apart

Waiting for the lovers dance, I hear the sound
Of my heart anticipating your every move
Soon we will sway till we hit the ground
As we make beautiful music beyond the groove

Sweet memories linger of your tender touch
Like a graceful melody It invades my soul
When you're away, I miss you so much
As we are once again joined, I am whole
