The Dance Poem by Jennifer Woodland

The Dance

You take my hand
Eyes soft, full of love
Pulling me close
Letting no one else have me
The moon is full
Filling the sky with light
Time slows as we sway
Back and forth
Our bodies taking in each others heat
This moment that no one can take
Will never be forgotten
A memory etched
In the photo album of life
This is what people dream about
A dance unlike any other
You take my hand
And you take my heart
Let this dance never end.
