The Dance Of Hormones Poem by Munaza Gulzar

The Dance Of Hormones

Rating: 5.0

In our bodies, a game unfolds,
Hormones dancing, stories untold.
They regulate, they influence,
Affecting our every sense.

Endorphins, the joyful crew,
They make us smile, they make us woo.
Dopamine, the reward we seek,
When we achieve, when we reach our peak.

Serotonin, the mood's best friend,
Keeping us calm, from start to end.
Oxytocin, the love hormone true,
Creating bonds, connecting me and you.

Adrenaline, the rush we feel,
When danger's near, it's a surreal deal.
Cortisol, the stress hormone's name,
Causing worry, anxiety's game.

Thyroid hormones, controlling the pace,
Metabolism, they embrace.
Estrogen and progesterone, the ladies' pair,
Regulating cycles with utmost care.

Testosterone, the strength it brings,
Muscles, desire, and other things.
Insulin, the sugar's guide,
Keeping levels steady, by its side.

Growth hormone, for body's growth,
Repairing tissues, a youthful oath.
Melatonin, the sleep's best mate,
Guiding us to dreamland's gate.

The game of hormones, a delicate dance,
Balancing emotions, giving life a chance.
They shape us, mold us, day by day,
In this intricate game, they hold sway.
