The Dancer And The Writer Poem by Joen Coronel

The Dancer And The Writer

Could it be a great cliffhanger reality
If a writer and a dancer set a story
When they fall in love with each other
Even if they're unaware to one another?

Imposing a superb devotion
Two people like attention
One who impresses with her graceful motion
And one who relies in his writing with emotion

The writer used to spend time writing
Writing everything about something
Something which is so hard to express
His feelings to the dancer to be impressed

On the other side of the world
The dancer moves fearless and bold
Dominating the dance floor with swagger
She's still unmindful to the stranger

Sadly, the writer is quite modest
So shy that he barely hides it in his chest
The words that will soon to explode
To the girl he loves, emotions implode

In no time, the dancer finally realizes
That there's someone in her back who mesmerizes
Her sways with the graceful combo of tempo and beat
Then surprisingly hears someone's heartbeat

Dub! dub! sounds like they're getting off
Their unmasked feelings are going soft
Now, they're being imprisoned in the cell called love
And locked in the chains of affection above

I wrote this not to be admired
But for others to be inspired
To the love that has will and right
Truth shall prevail, might is bright

Could it also be
For a writer like me
To fall in love untimely
To a dancer instantly?

Could it be?
