When the ordered small idol
Of Shani Deva came to,
A black and darkly one
Shining black,
Of Dharmaraja
The Lord of Karma and Discipline
That night I found the blackly owlets
In the maximum
Together with the whitely one
And the grey one
Encircling the gate
Perched on the wire.
Shani Deva a disciple
Of Shiva and Vishnu
Punishes as well as bails out
Of crisis and crisscrosses of
Tangled fate.
Some say he rides a large crow,
Some a donkey he rides
Or the horse or the vulture,
The lion or the jackal
Whatever be it, His glory is untold.
