The Dark Light Poem by Deepu Nair

The Dark Light

Shivers of hatred i had, vanishing the pain.
Growling breath, thoughts faked a smile...
Dry tears of those dreams i saw,
flightless wings nothing but a burden anymore.
Draging my feathers on the dust of fate,
I pulled it to the shore.
Mocking silence provoked the dreaded darkness
Yet it was the light there somewhere,
gave me the sight of hope.
With a faint smile and my eyes said it all...
The bristled dark pleaded on its rage....
raised its eyes unclear, for my forgiveness it seeked.
again the dreams...the hope... the smile I had,
and the beatified life i had to row.
