The Darkest Corners Poem by Natalie Beers

This was also originally a song I wrote.

I came home from school today,
I heard the yelling from a mile away.
I walked in the door
and ran to my room to escape,
but there is no way out of this hell.
There is no way out of here.

Nobody knows whats in the darkest corners of my mind.
Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors.
Nobody knows how much I want to escape this life of mine.
Why can't I escape?
