The Darkness Poem by Andrew Hamm

The Darkness

The twighlight hours are chiming;
They chime for all,
Chime for all
To see. But then
It gets dark, darker than life
At its darkest;
Aha – the darkness is here, -
Nothing shines... Nothing shines
At all in this dark place...
It’s way too dark! –
The darkness, enfoling all,
Brings doom and despair to the world,
There’s too much doom
There’s too much darkness
The darkness defeats us all.
