The Darkness Inside Poem by ilse hill

The Darkness Inside

I can't be more than what I am but I'll try to survive the darkness inside, set my soul alight with the pain I've set aside, I've seen darker days, been a slave to so many wrongs, loved in many ways, but still I'll try to survive the darkness inside, I'll lock up these thoughts and throw the key away... again, I can't be more than what I am but I'll try to survive.
