The Darkness Thinks Too Much Poem by Sagi Writes

The Darkness Thinks Too Much

Here I am again-
counting seconds
in the corners of the room,
listening to leaves rustle
and the wind yawn
beyond the window.
Darkness settles in my lungs;
tomorrow clouds my mind.
The moon only smiles in mockery, whispering surrender.
Midnight fades before my eyes,
and dawn comes quietly -
a thin ray of hope exhaling the worries of the night.
