The Day I Lost Myself Poem by tapira ashburton

The Day I Lost Myself

On a moonlit starry night
I woke up in a fright
There was no light
Only a slight speck of moon was to be seen

I was keen to know
if I was somewhat in a dream
My bedroom was not there.
It gave me a scare

I believe i have lost myself.
I looked up,
The moon was grinning
On the grass was the past

In the sky was the future
I needed to excrete
I came to my feet
I then came to my senses
that the best defenses
was to go to sleep.
