The Day I Will Die Poem by DANIEL ESSIEN

The Day I Will Die

I will not live like others,
in ignorance of death day;
i know one day will be my day
I'm sure it come in a good way
it's truth i don't sigh away.

the day shall come
when my dreams are real;
when the house that shelter me is mine
when my estate shall feed
those left behind.

The day shall come
when my pen had written my thoughts
on the plain hearts of men
turning wrong thoughts right;
leading the right path.

The day shall come
when the world
would've heard my name;
see glory in my fame
that i live a life without shame.

The day shall come
when my factories
shall change men stories
giving families
more reason to live in glory.

The day shall come
when i will see my third generations
with my dining table filled
with fed stomach
and dirty dishes

The day shall come
when my hairs are gray
with my beards white
and my forehead bald
with wore tooth and bright sight

The day shall come
when i shall be one and twenty
lying beside my youthful wife
kissed her and tell bye
then be with the Lord.
