The Day Of Judgment Poem by Imran Basir

The Day Of Judgment

The rains have yet to fall,
The clouds are yet full,
The Kingdoms high; and yet to sigh,
The Kings yet stay; in noble hall,
The Dead fall; and yet stand tall,
The place of order and rule,
In state of pain,
Of things vain.

The Towers fall,
To the ground the mountain tall,
The Trees whither,
To the Sky the souls go hither.

Burdens arise from thou backs,
The Voice: all lacks,
More sorrow yet to leave,
All troubles off thou shoulders to heave,
Yet the end is far,
While the Place thou go is far from mar.

The Sun gone black,
The light does the earth lack,
No longer does the stars shine,
All goals set along in a line.

Then, O Bard, Singer of the Soul,
Call all beings whether whole or un-whole,
Sing to Man,
And to the destruction of the Land.

Flee not whom who are to flee,
For chains are now broken,
And the Place thou go hither is all free,
The Voice has Spoken.
