The Death Of Trump Poem by Long Tooth

The Death Of Trump

Rating: 5.0

If Trump were dead, would God take head,
Life on the line, for such a swine?
What better death to pledge your breath,
To future good and brotherhood!

Trump's minions die, would angels sigh,
They burn in hell, who cares, 'Mach Schnell! ' (1)
These tortured souls, subvert Love's goals,
May they find peace in burning grease.

What country's lost, who knows the cost?
Our founders weep in grave, can't sleep,
Class warfare spun, and Satan won,
Darth Vader dead, a joy-filled bed!

But evil slain is no real gain,
For mortal man would hit the fan,
Without God's grace, there is no face,
And 'Mercy' (2) call, God's word Y'all!

Poet's Notes:
I hope this is a poem that acknowledges the anger, frustration, and fear that Trump engenders as unavoidable feelings that we must accept having while at the same time professing a faith that God is in charge and that He expects us to be merciful even to those who abuse us and, for whatever reason, think that they are a law unto themselves! Their criminality and lack of love need to inspire us to be ever mindful of our own failings and to work toward removing the log from our own eye instead reacting to the dirt spec in the eye of others. We cannot avoid having our own feelings, but we must not think this gives us the right to judge others and stone offenders to death. I think that in fact, it is OK to hate, we just have to distinguish between the sin and the sinner. Judgement belongs to God.
(1) Mach Schnell - German for 'the sooner, the better! '
(2) Hosea 6: 6 'For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.'

What I find so interesting Alwi, is that though Long Tooth clearly hates the sin he does not seem to hate the sinner and counts himself as being one of those needing God's grace if he, Long Tooth himself, is to have any chance of going to heaven. This is certainly to me what a Christian should say about Donald. I just pray that Long Tooth is sincere!
