The Demon Poem by Laine Thorn

The Demon

When i look into the mirror who do i see
A remnant of who i used to be
Her soul is raveged by the demon
This demon is a possesive demon
Who keeps her to himself and no other
Who turns her back against the ones she loves
Who makes her feel shame and hatred for herself
Who breaks her down six feet under or she wishes he would
The demon tears her apart to the point of agony where she doesnt know what is real anymore
Just the twisted fragment of hell she is living in
Once in a while the demon will turn his back on her
And she will regain a part of her old self
But the demon is quick to take it back
She screams to no one in particular am i never to be whole again
But the demon says you were never entitled anything once you belonged to me
Every sense of herself is beaten out and replaced with a monster almost as bad as the demon himself
And her old self is just a distant memory and a lost reflection
