[ The Desire Of A Rose Is But A Single Thorn ] Poem by Joel Roderick Dreaver (Bisson)

[ The Desire Of A Rose Is But A Single Thorn ]

The Desire of a Rose is but a single Thorn
The Bitterness and Bereavement of Loss
The Soul I've given to you for all is a cost
To Burn a Candle in the wake of Forelorn
The Flame which You hold within Hope
A Canvas clashed with Reds and Colors
A Palette of Memories which cherished
The Moment in which you have to Cope.

The candor of the written worth of stories
A Kiss is just a Action; To Touch the Soul
A question of what meant to be Eternity
A Pair, coupled together held by Two Rings
A Church to be Merriment entitled to All
The shadows which run across the lit Sun
To which you shine unto others and recall.
