This desolate place,
I can't escape,
It has trapped me.
I can't breathe,
It has trapped me.
It told me things,
It has deceived me.
It promised me things,
It has deceived me.
It convinced me,
That I wasn't enough.
It convinced me,
That I wasn't deserving.
This desolate place,
My mind,
The one thing that is always there,
After everyone has left.
Its thoughts, although my own,
Tease me, mock me.
Although always there,
It's deafeningly empty.
They convince me that they were right,
That everyone would leave.
That everything is my fault.
I can't breathe,
Because i cant get away from them,
The constant thoughts,
Replaying in my head.
Oh if they would go away,
If all the noise would dissipate
Sometimes i wonder if i didn't have a mind
I could leave this desolate place
Filled with constant nothingness.
