The Devil Craves Love Poem by Hailey Agnew

The Devil Craves Love

I search for a soul,
in this crowd.
I can't find one,
I'm goin down.
I am the devil,
but I crave love.
I hate god,
but I still ask for a gift from above.
To find a soulmate,
you need a soul.
I don't have one,
this much I know.
I crave affection,
for someone to hold.
A cat craves treats,
a vampire craves blood.
The devil craves love?
This is so wrong,
but I'm jelous of them.
They have souls,
and they'd rather be condemmed.
Condemmed to hell,
to eternal burning.
But there's a hell on earth,
this I am learning.
I am still selfish,
and I want love.
I am the devil,
but I'm searching above.
