The Devil Drug - Poem by Mariah Budell

This is a drug called meth It usually tends to cause deaths It stole my whole family The only ones that loved me Why can't this drug just let me be I wake up in the middle of the night Wondering why my parents must fight They fight Because they don't have the might To say No to that pipe They would rather fight Then say no to the rock They would rather shove a needle in their arm Snort a few lines of that crystal Smoke out of that glass pipe Burn that lightbulb, Or heat that spoon The see the light of the real world They say 'someday I will have to quit' They will end up quitting when they take there last hit And for the rest of their lifes all they see is a black pit It will be the devils ditch. He will never let them go All because they just wanted to take that one hit By Mariah
