The Devil Himself Poem by Natasha MaginleyFrancis

The Devil Himself

The devil appears in different forms
And has the ability to settle right up against the norm
A talented soul is he
He can transform his image into the likeness of mankind
Personally, I do not mind.
He bothers me not in the least
Nothing he does fazes me or at all captivates me.
I am not moved by his antics or dazzled by his dishonest trickery
I live my life each day to the fullest and best of my ability.
Thought he may try to conquer me
He is such a fool to think he can
Hearing his nasty comments
I can comprehend his conniving action.
This tells me he is just a simple man
A man who aims to conspire and deceive
So today I have come to realize
He knows not what he does
Nor that he, is messing with the wrong child of God.
I rebuke him in the name of my father
And will continue to live my life
To the fullest and best of my ability
Still not fazed, captivated or dazzled
By neither his devilish ignorance nor his acts of weakness
I am simply moved by my father’s greatness.
