you found your niche
on the other side of the world
where you said you will never be
because you cannot imagine living
somewhere else; but fate played
its tricks and you went along

i opted to stay where you left me
and carved a stone out of the memories
i had of you then placed it where it
will keep unturned even by the
strongest storm

one day you may find yourself
on your way back home and find
that stone to bridge the distance
between us
