'The Distinctive Selves' Poem by Mehak M

'The Distinctive Selves'

The dozy self -
drenched in long talks with moon;
wondering what should have been but couldn't be!

The earthly self -
tied in the clenches of eternity like a baboon;
chasing all that's transient and will not always be! !

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
