The Dove Poem by Pete Rivera

The Dove

You forced the hands of evil
I killed without a name
My mask, it hides my figure
To this, I hide my fame

You kiss the lips of evil
The devil's one to tame
Like a tiger from the heavens
You wonder why I came

In the dark
I feel your spark
You shine
Like God

It's what I feel
With any try
I've died away
This night

And you, my love
A pitch black dove
I lost your heart
From the start

Crying here
After every lie
So I die away
Tonight..

The cruelty of faith has left its mark
