The Dove - Poem by Prayag Saikia

In you eye
the azure of the sky - -

A tranquil transcendental feeling pervades.

From heart to heaven
a breeze of liberty.

Your plumage reflect bright sunshine.

You are a progeny
of a visionary painting;
Your name is ‘Dove'.

Till you're there
fetters cannot restrain us in the blind alley.

Till you're there
doom's day cannot be near.

In your eye
the azure of the sky,
the azure of love
the azure of liberty.
