The Dragon Poem by Tom Langmead

The Dragon

Rating: 0.5

The dragon awaits a person,
a he, a she, an it.
The dragon awaits a killer,
a killer to end its miserable life.
The dragon awaits a friend,
a friend to pet his sorrow.
The dragon awaits a time,
a time of happiness and calmness,
the calmness of death…….

The dragon awaits a motion,
a motion of a blade.
This is the dragon,
the dragon who forbids himself from a happy, free life.
The mountain in which he lives,
is cracking and falling apart,
destroying his soul and his physical form.
But beyond the dragons knowledge,
this sad story will soon end……….
