-the Dream- Poem by carly bachor

-the Dream-

Rating: 2.6

sleep slowly consumes me
i drift into a land unknown.

i ponder my surroundings
i hear a low whisper 'help....me'

i come across a feild of paper flowers.
with every step i gracefully avoid each flower.

i approach a bridge....
force of habit i look around the bridge,
only to find blood-lusting monsters awaiting.

i slowly take steps each revealing new whispers.

i come to the end of the bridge.
a girl with thick, wavy, aburn hair its along the edge of land,
whispering to me, 'help'

i found her oddly familiar...
to realize this girl was me....

in shock i stop and stare....
not exactly knowing what to do next.

and then, darkness took me away.

I love your description of 'paper flowers' - it makes them seem do delicate. The short stanzas make it lovely to read, good write :)
