tryna hold onto a fallen dream
i walked away and then i heard the screams
i turned around and looked into the eyes
another one with torn and shattered cries

i tried to hold as tight as i could
it was right then that i knew i should
Walk away, get out while im sane
otherwise im gonna ruin my brain

not another fallen on the beaten path
the road of life has shown its wrath
another sorry one just tryna scrape by
thrown myself down and im asking why

i tried to let go of the hurt i felt
confusion as the cards were dealt
now i know that the pain was true
its just a part of what we go through

i cant let go, i cant let it go away
when it goes you know theres nothing left to say

keep on aiming for the dream in the distance
keep putting up my resistance
